Body Parts, and 너무 좋아

was going through lessons at learnkoreanlanguage.com and they had a body parts vocab list. this song came to my mind and helped me remember some of those body parts. thanks GD, and Zion T for making such a great song. his Crayon song taught me head, shoulders, knees and toes too (머리 어깨 무릎 발). Crooked taught me little finger (새끼 손가락). Chest/heart (가슴) is used in many songs, but I took notice of it first in So Ji Sub's Sound of Memory few blog posts back.

너무 좋아 가사
I Love It Lyrics

입술과 향기가 좋아
Your lips and your scent, I love it
너의 긴 다리와 짧은 치마 좋아
Your long legs and short skirt, I love it

You see that 이 가는 엉덩이 I love it
You see that? My eyes go to that butt I love it
나도 모르게 또 이 가는 허리 ooh I like it
Without knowing, my hands go to your waist ooh I like it
가는 발목이 하이힐 위에 하루 종일 baby
Your thin ankles are in high heels all day baby
Could you be my lady cuz I know you want it
Could you be my lady cuz I know you want it

이건 클럽 아님 bar sky lounge sky high
This is a club or a bar, sky lounge, sky high
캐주얼 말고 더 dress up해
Not casual but dress up more
멈추지 말고 계속해
Don’t stop and keep going
Rose dom p cigar 따고
Rose, Dom P, with a cigar
흥분돼 아님 말고
Are you turned on? If you’re not, never mind
Party like met gala
Party like Met Gala
우린 노는 물이 달라
The way we party is different

빛과 말투가 난 좋아
Your eyes and the way you talk, I love it
너의 긴 머리 끝에 점 좋아
Your long hair and your beauty mark on your nose
나는 좋아
I love it

You see that 눈이 가는 엉덩이 I love it
나도 모르게 또 손이 가는 허리 ooh I like it
가는 발목이 하이힐 위에 하루 종일 baby
Could you be my lady cuz I know you want it

지금이 몇 신지는 또 어딘지는 중요하지 않아
It’s not important what time it is or where we are
내가 누군지는 뭘 하는지는 물어보지 말아 girl
Don’t ask me who I am or what I do, girl
그냥 이렇게 즐기다 집에 가버리면 돼
Just enjoy the moment and go home later
서로 비밀로 묻어놓고
And keep this a secret between us
네 까만 스타킹 너무 좋아
Your black stockings I love it
네 빨간 립스틱 너무 좋아
Your red lipstick I love it
네 야한 미소 너무 좋아
Your sexy smile I love it
네 모든 것이 너무 좋아
Everything about you I love it

그녀의 입술과 향기가 좋아 ye
Her lips and your scent, I love it
너의 긴 다리와 짧은 치마 좋아
너무 좋아
대체 넌 어디서 왔니
Where did you come from?
왜 지금 나타났니
Why did you appear now?
어쩜 그리도 완벽한지
How can you be so perfect?
널 보면 늘 감격하지
I’m always in awe when I see you
너무 밝아 조명을 줄일게
Is it too bright? I’ll turn down the lights
잘 봐 나 끼 좀 부리게
Look carefully so I can show you my moves
선녀와 나무꾼 보다는 숙녀와 난봉꾼
Rather than the fairy and woodsman, it’s the lady and playboy

네 눈빛과 말투가 좋아

Progress and the lack of it

When I was first learning Hangul (한글), I took forever to read each individual syllable and to read an entire phrase, much less a sentence, took so much effort. By the time I managed to decipher the words at the end, I would have forgotten how the words sounded like in the beginning. Now that I can more or less read hangul, the problem when reading a sentence is remembering the meaning of the words I read in the beginning while I read the sentence till the end. =.= Well, I guess with more practice, it will no longer be a problem.

Another problem I have is with the way the sentences are structured. Even if I know the meaning of the words, the way they are arranged, being so alien compared to English, makes it hard to understand the sentence as a whole. For example, if I tried listening to the speech in the dramas I watch, I would sort of understand the gist, but I wouldn't be able to construct a sentence in English like the subtitles.

That's why I feel kinda stuck in my learning nowadays. The speech is too fast and I'm still lacking knowledge on a ton of grammar and vocab so I can barely understand even 10% of the shows that I watch. And even when I do understand the words, I feel that a person who knows nothing about the language would be able to understand too, based on their actions and scenarios. Disheartening.

SJS's reaction to reading Fifty Shades of Grey

외국 나가기 전에 공항 서점에서 급하게 집어나온 책.
비행기에서 읽다가... 허걱!
조금 더 읽다가 또 허걱...!
계속 읽어야 되나 잠깐의 고민, 그러나 어느새 계속 읽고 있는...
조금은 뻔하고 자극 적이지만 아찔하게 쓰여진 소설.
3부중 이제 1부를 다 읽었는데.. 다음편을 계속 읽어도 괜...괜찮..을까요?
Source: 51K Kulture, December 2012

Before flying abroad, I hastily picked up a book from the airport book store.
While reading it on the plane... Gosh!
After reading a little more, gosh again...!
Continued reading though not without a moment's worry, but finished reading all too soon...
It was a little stimulating but killingly written novel.
Now that I've read one part out of three.. To continue reading the later installments.. would also be al...alright?

Again, I translated this on my own with Google Translate's help, so trust it at your own risk.

Some Korean words to learn..
전(에): before (time particle), 前
후(에): after (time particle), 后
읽다: to read
(v)-다가: while -(v)
계속: continue, unceasingly, 继续
소설: novel, 小说

Gosh, this 아저씨 is too cute. 풔하하하. Of course it's alright to read this kind of books... secretly :x I wonder what the book store assistant thought when he/she sold the book to him. and I wonder how many people judged this guy celeb reading a hard copy of 그레이의 50가지 그림자 publicly on the plane. I know I would be too embarrassed to read it in public. I've not read this book, but this guy sure has me interested. Though the plot isn't that interesting to me... Dilemma. He would have found it good to wanna read the other two parts right? I've since read this book. And if not for wanting to know what this man went through reading it, I would have stopped pretty early. Now I hope I won't know if he has finished reading parts 2 and 3 cos I know I'd want to read too. But of cos, I want to know everything about him so do tell me if he has finished reading the other two parts. shit this fangirling is complicated and stupid. lol

Edit: Okay.. I've just found out So Ji Sub did a photoshoot with Terry Richardson in 2007 based on the concept of a B movie called The Brown Bunny for W Magazine. Apparently they said he watched it ten times as preparation for it? There were SM scenes and a shot of him in super low pants or aka no pants, though I'm quite sure it was photoshoppeed. I wonder why they didn't photoshop abs on him though. lmao. Anyway, point is, he's not that innocent anyway eh. pfft. What for act all surprised and hesitant about reading the 50 shades series. :/ le sigh. Apparently though, he's the first Asian star that Terry Richardson shot, which I suppose is quite an honour.

On a side note, that photog's name sounded pretty familiar to me and I had the vague idea that he did a photoshoot with Bigbang too. Which I looked up, and he did; a normal looking one...

Edit: Just saw that 9½ Weeks was featured in 51K Kulture too. It's a 1986 erotic film. I give up. His guts are stronger than mine. I can't take all these shit. And I definitely am not gonna read parts two and three of fifty shades no matter what now.

소지섭 - 추억소리 가사

So Ji Sub - The Sound of Memory Lyrics
가만 가만 내 가슴 위에 귀를 대고 안기면
hush hush if you put your ear on my chest
나의 맘이 추억소리를 네게 들려 줄거야
you'll hear the sound of memories in my heart

I translated it on my own, so trust it with caution.

Seriously wtf. This Road No. 1 OST already breaks my heart and makes me tear, and now that I know the effing lyrics' meaning, I'm broken. 이장우 씨. 니 삶이 왜 이렇게 슬퍼네요? Mr. Lee Jang Woo, why is your life sad like that? I don't know if I have the Korean right, but whatever. lol.

and Mr. So Ji Sub, I WANNA PUT MY EAR ON YOUR CHEST GODDAMMIT whatever the damn reason is; feel you up, hear your heartbeat, get close to you, CUDDLEZ. LOL. ahem. I mean, listen to the sound of memories in your heart.

Gs

One year after falling helplessly in (fan) love with Kwon Ji Yong, I've sorta fallen out of love with him and with another G. So Ji Sub. I blame it on a few factors.

  1. Overliking G-Dragon
  2. Not enjoying his live performance as much as I thought I would (overnight queuing, lack of fan service)
  3. Release of new album, causing an influx of news. Too much to keep up with
  4. Master's Sun and So Ji Sub

Now, do I need to change the name of my blog? This post will be a post on So Ji Sub's old drama, and the one that catapulted him to fame, 미안하다 사랑한다 aka I'm Sorry, I Love You aka MiSa (미사).

So Ji Sub's lines from 0:26 onwards are:

밥 먹자...  뭐라도 좀 먹자
Let's eat... Let's eat something

(Please stop the car)

밥 먹을래, 나랑 뽀뽀할래?
Do you wanna eat or do you wanna kiss me?

(Stop the car now!)

밥 먹을래, 나랑 잘래?
Do you wanna eat or do you wanna sleep with me?

(창문 열고 뛰어내린다)
(I'll open the door and jump out of the car)

밥 먹을래, 나랑 살래?
Do you wanna eat or do you wanna live with me?

밥 먹을래, 나랑 같이...죽을래?
Do you wanna eat or do you wanna... die together with me?!

Video and hangul credit: http://pann.nate.com/video/88568684

I didn't get this show when I watched it. Everyone was gushing about how good it is, and how it made them cry buckets. There were many touching scenes, of course. But somehow, my tear factory stopped working since some time back. I know we're supposed to pity Moon Hyuk (So Ji Sub's character) because he's just that pathetic. But he was also vengeful, which made me not feel for him as much.

Anyway, this scene is good for learning the "wanna" ending aka "ㄹ래" since he repeats it so many times. And also some very common verbs. ^^

밥: rice (and since it's such a staple in traditional Korean diet, it has come to mean "meal" too)
먹다: to eat
나(랑): I (with/and particle)
뽀뽀(하다): kiss (verbify: kiss as a noun is changed to kiss as a verb)
자다: to sleep
살다: to live/stay
같이: together with
죽다: to die

밥 먹을래 and 죽을래 are pretty commonly used in dramas and everyday speech. Seungri used "밥 먹을래" in his SNL (fitness) clubbing scene, which was actually the trigger that made me remember this scene in MiSa

오늘 I found an app

I just started using this app called DokiDoki Post (android). There's an iOS version as well. And it's free, of course. I've only bought one paid app in my life. >.< It allows you to chat with random strangers. I set my country to Korea and sent out messages locally. So far, I've talked to 4-5 guys, all guys, no girls... Hmm.. I think one of them tried to ask for paid company/sex right in the first message? Too bad my Korean standard is too low to understand him anyway.

The app's good for practising introductions and casual chit chat, which is what I'm learning at the moment. Just that I take forever to think and write messages, so I don't reply often. The good thing about this app is, you can't spam messages to a person if that person does not reply you. Once a person ignores you, there's nothing you can do to contact that person again. :x Try to keep the ball rolling with each message. :)

친구들이 나 보고 병신이래 / My friends look at me and say I'm an idiot

The fans have been shouting 병신이래 each time he sings this song live since it came out I think. But during the 2007 G.R.E.A.T concert, G-Dragon made good use of it by returning the interaction with fans. I really love how he talks to the fans here. And how Big Bang comes out to rap his song with him. <3

친구[들](이): friends [collective term for a few people. feels like the chinese "们"] (object marking particle)
나: I
보고: look
병신: idiot
이래: be/act like

Unfortunately, the video above was cut off at the end. The following video has full subs for the song and the entire song, but the ment parts are not as well subbed.

Big Bang - Love Song

I'm embedding this fake English lyrics music video for Love Song because it's rather funny. Enjoy.
(Note: regarding the part about Tablo leaving Taeyang in the desert for two days, I think the writer was referring to Tomorrow by Tablo featuring Taeyang, which was also filmed in the desert. In fact, there are at least 4 music videos of Taeyang in the desert, as seen here, http://mupji.tumblr.com/post/52280173124)

I can finally read Top's first verse of Love Song lyrics as fast as he sang it (which was rather slow). Some notable improvement at least. Reading Hangul was such a pain, and still a pain sometimes for the harder characters. I really love Love Song's lyrics though; it goes really well with the music. In a more gloomy mood, tears will fall while reading the translated lyrics and listening to the song.

Here are a few verses translated and broken down when I know what it means.

(TOP)
한 여자가 멀어져가
One woman is becoming disaster
남자는 노래 부르지만
Even though a man is still singing
눈물이 나는걸 이별이란
I’m tearing up at the thought of break up

한: one
여자(가): woman (subject marking particle)
남자(는): man (topic marking particle)
노래: song
눈물(이): tears (subject marking particle)
나(는): I (topic marking particle)
이별: farewell, parting, break up

(GD)
난 두려워 이 세상은 의미 없어
I’m scared, this world is meaningless
달과 별이 있는 너 있는 그 곳에 데려가줘
Take me to where you are, a place with the moon and stars

난 > 나(는): I (topic marking particle)
이: this
세상은: world, society, humanity (topic marking particle)
의미: meaning, significance
없어: doesn't have, doesn't exist
달(과): moon (and)
별(이): stars (subject marking particle)
있: have, exist
너: you
그: that
곳(에): place (location marking particle)

That's probably a lot of new words to learn if you're new to Korean. But I can't leave this post like this without my favourite two lines of this song, sung by GD of cos.

시간아 멈춰 (...)
Time, please stop (...)
바람아 멈춰 (....)
Wind, stop blowing (...)

시간: time
바람: wind

And why do I like this part? cos of the making where he mentions it at 4:41. keke

The first time I watched it, I believed him, that he was appreciating the wind. But now, I think it was prolly both, feeling the breeze which makes it so conducive for a tired idol to sleep. keke. He's cute when he laughs it off.

이름이 뭐야? / What's your name?

G-Dragon tweeted this via yfrog last year. Sounds like he was chewing gum while he filmed this. His caption in his tweet is "꼬리치는고양이.sooooo cute!!" I'm glad he loves cats as much as dogs (Gaho and Jolie), cos I'm, first and foremost, a cat lover before an animal lover. hahaha. Though, the cat didn't look too happy. haha, maybe GD was disturbing its sleep. He asked the cat for its name, before answering it himself with a purr. lmao. cuteness.

꼬리치는고양이: A cat wagging its tail
꼬리: tail
고양이: cat

And here's a song by 4minute titled "What's Your Name?" too. The ending that they used is the polite form. (Well, GD was talking to a cat, and didn't have to be formal/polite.) I had "whacchor name what whacchor name" stuck in my head some time back, but couldn't remember whose song it was. I'm not a huge fan of 4minute as you can tell.

크레용은 미친노래 입니다 (Crayon is a crazy song)

왜냐하면 이름이 크레용으니까요: If (you) ask why, because it's name is "Crayon"

Seriously, GD. How can you sound so cute? The tone of his voice in the One of a Kind Collection Crayon Making is not his usual in this scene. He spoke slowly and sounded like he's super tired and stoned. And somehow, his "왜냐하면" has been repeating itself in my head. I just typed whatever I heard, which is possible only because he was speaking slowly. Even then, I don't even know if I got the Korean right. I need both Korean and English subs yo!

Only vocab we'll be learning today, is 이름: name. Because I'm not sure if the rest of the Korean words are right. XD

난 재주많은 곰 (I'm a Talented Bear)

Poor GD. Wearing a bear mascot costume, thinking that fans would guess that it's him and be excited. In the end, he was greatly disappointed to see that they will only be excited for "G-Dragon" and not a random bear mascot, even if he happens to be talented. It's like branding and advertising, isn't it? :/ Somehow, I feel really sad when I watch him say this part. Was he upset?

관심도 없다고 난 재주 많은 곰인데: (they're) not interested when I'm the talented bear

Let's break it down.
관심: interest, concern, (sounds like 关心 in Chinese, but I think it means more interest than concern)
없다: to lack, to not exist
난: 나는, I (with topic marking particle)
재주: ability, tricks, talent
많: many
곰: bear
이다: to be

다고: seems to be used for indirect/reported speech. Not very sure.
인데 carries meaning depending on the situation. And I'm not qualified to talk about it yet, since I've only just discovered it, always hearing it 근데 and others... TTMIK has a lesson on it though, in level 3.

Big Bang - So Sick (Cover)

Chanced upon this radio cover of Big Bang singing Ne-Yo's So Sick. Seungri's missing though, due to exams or something. This was back in 2008. Sorry GD, he hated his nose, and this video shows its old imperfection. hahaha :x But I love his singing here!

I'm sharing the lyrics here, cos T.O.P does a rap in Korean, which, of course, isn't in the original song.

[Taeyang]
Mmm mmm yeah
Doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo
Oh yeah

Gotta change my answering machine
Now that I'm alone
'Cuz right now it says that we
Can't come to the phone
And I know it makes no sense
'Cuz you walked out the door
But it's the only way I hear your voice anymore

[(Daesung) Taeyang]
(It's ridiculous) It's been months and for some reason I just
(Can't get over us) And I'm stronger than this
(Enough is enough) No more walkin' round with my head down
I'm so over being blue cryin' over you

[Daesung]
And I'm so sick of love songs
So tired of tears
So done with wishing you were still here
Said I'm so sick of love songs
So sad and slow
So why can't I turn off the radio

[G-Dragon]
Gotta fix that calender I have
That's marked July 15th
Because since there's no more you
There's no more anniversary
I'm so fed up with my thoughts of you
And your memory
And how every song reminds me
Of what used to be

[Daesung]
That's the reason I'm so sick of love songs
So tired of tears
So done with wishing you were still here
Said I'm so sick of love songs
So sad and slow
So why can't I turn off the radio

[(G-Dragon?) Taeyang]
(Leave me alone) Leave me alone
(Stupid love songs) Don't make me think about her smile
Or having my first child
Let it go (Let it go)
Turning off the radio

[T.O.P]
Yo, yo, yo
그래 비극중에 비극 넌 아직도 때 이른
선택이라며 날밀어내며 기달여 내일 을
날버린걸 후회말길 ma fall in love
멀어진널 손에넣고십어져더 (yeah)

The (G-Dragon?) part, I suspect, might have been Seungri's part; which might explain why he forgot to sing the first line. Seungri might have had other parts too, but I've no idea which, since he didn't sing.

TTMIK Workbook!

Gosh, I don't know whether I'm stupid or what. But I never did realise that TTMIK had free pdf workbooks available on their website. There I was, constantly wishing I had some practice questions to do, so that I can test my understanding, and practise writing Korean sentences.

Until one day (today), I decided to search for illegal copies of their printed workbooks (which I knew they had for sale in their online stores), and google pointed me to TTMIK's website. I was feeling incredulous... cos at first, I was determined to avoid clicking on TTMIK's link as I was sure it would lead me to a page which asks me to buy their printed books. Feeling dumb now. But one day, when I'm feeling rich, I'll be sure to donate back to TTMIK.

The workbook pdf comes in tens, level 1 1-10, 11-20, 20-25, etc. I'm going to do them all in one shot after finishing each level. Like it's an exam for each level. Just finished level 1's workbook. Probably got around 80% correct? Mostly had problems with the spelling. Like 아니 (o)  vs 안이 (x), meaning no. Also, I hadn't fully memorised 20-90 in native Korean. >.< Kinda lazy there.

Anyway, find them TTMIK workbooks here.

On a side note, I just discovered they actually have a video pronunciation guide for G-Dragon's and Taeyang's real names on TTMIK.

TTMIK Level 1 끝 (End)

I've been putting off doing the test dialog for Level 1 on TTMIK. Finally, listened to it today, after a quick revision of all 25 lessons. Understood 80% of it. Shouldn't have put it off really. It wasn't that bad. Level 2 looks interesting, some stuff I've already dabbled in. Onwards!

처음부터 (From the Beginning)

In Talk To Me In Korean Level 1 Lesson 25, we learnt -에서/부터 and -까지, which means from - and to -.

Big Bang's TOP uses these phrases at the start of both his rap parts.
하나부터까지 모든 게 다 한 수위: From one to ten, everything is one level above
머리끝부터 발끝까지 비쥬얼은 쇼크: From my head to my toes, there’s a visual shock

하나 = 1, 열 = 10 in native korean. There, you just learnt two numbers in native korean :D
머리끝 = top of the head, 발끝 = tip of the toes. Basically, 끝 means end. And I just learnt from TOP that you can use 끝 for both head and toes @.@ Yes, TOP, you're a visual shock. Imma freeze if I were to meet you face to face (if GD isn't there to distract me).

B1A4 uses these words in their debut song, O.K.
이제부터 니꺼야: from now on, I'm yours
머리부터까지 I love you: from head to toe, I love you

TTMIK also uses from head to toe as an example:
From head to toe
= 머리부터 발끝까지
= 머리에서 발끝까지
-에서 and -부터 are interchangeably used here because we're talking about locations. But you can't say 이제에서 to mean from now on, because -에서 is strictly for indicating a place, while -부터 is for both place and time. -에서 is also used as a location marking particle for where an action is taking place. Refer to TTMIK Level 1 Lesson 18 to learn more.

처음부터 is also a commonly heard phrase, which means from the beginning.
You might hear 끝까지 as a pair with 처음부터, since it means to the end.
Kyeong-eun uses them at the end of the lesson's podcast.

Big Bang's Ain't No Fun (재미없어) also uses these two phrases :)

처음부터 우린 아니었어: from the beginning, we weren't meant to be
넌 끝까지 답답해서: till the end, you were suffocating

Bonus G-Dragon song mention.. :) Without You (결국)
내 마음은 처음부터 그대로인데: my heart is just like the first time
여기까지가 마지막인지 우린: this point is our last

I'm memorising the lyrics to this song at the moment, to be ready for G-Dragon's concert in Singapore :D And I think 처음부터 is a really cute sounding phrase. Don't ask me why. I'm weird. ㅋㅋ

Number 18

Short post this time :)

During Eat Your Kimchi's Interview with uBeat + Kevin (don't ask me to link it since there are two parts + bloopers, not sure which at this moment), Martina mentioned that they can't say the number 18 in Korean (sino-korean) cos they end up mispronouncing it and making it sound like a bad word. So they count 18 in English instead. I wondered about it, and now I chanced upon the bad word that they were trying to avoid saying.
Number 18 in korean can be a korean slang word which equals to 씨발 which would mean “damn it” [or f*ck or sh*t]. The word for no. 18 in korean is 십팔, and it nearly has the same pronunciation as 씨발.

On a G-Dragon note, his birth date is 1988 08 18. No one can have more 8s in their birthdate than him. ;)

Crayon 크레용 Teachings

I decided to break off the last part from my previous post, start a new post about the lyrics in Crayon. I love the lyrics, the dance and the music, everything! Get your crayon.

머리 어깨 무릎 발: head shoulders knees toes
G-Dragon even points them out in the dance, and this line starts the song, ends the song, and is peppered through the song. I'm sure you'll learn these body part names really quickly. ;)

날라리 boy: a student who's a troublemaker, delinquent (sometimes cool or popular, not necessarily a bad person)
One person guesses that the word comes from 날아이, 날 is a prefix that means "raw", like 날고기(raw meat) or 날 것(raw stuff), and 아이 is "kid".
This forum user, jefnevwild has an elaboration of what it means.
날라리 is, as kimseo said, such a hard word to translate into english. It mainly means a student who tends not to behave and often make troubles at school, and who likes to do what an exemplary student wouldn't really be recommended to do after school, such as going to clubs, going out with boy/girlfriends and staying out late, drinking, etc. So 날라리's basically sort of bad reputation for a student, especially in the teacher/parent's points of view. But sometimes when it means a student opposite to 'nerd' or something, it's not necessarily a purely bad word either. For example, "he's sort of a 날라리 with a good character and even his grade always places near top of his class", then the 'he' is kinda thought to be a perfect guy amongst friends.
Does that remind you of any kids in (Korean) high school dramas? :b

월화수목금토일: mon, tues, wed, thurs, fri, sat, sun
Well done GD, you've just made it easier for me to learn the days of the week with its addition to your rap. You just need to add 요일 to make it the full word. e.g. 일요일 = Sunday.

지못미 = 켜주지 안해: Sorry for not having been able to protect you (credit)
This is a shortened term for calling someone who only says sorry, and can't protect a person close to him/her.

무한: infinitely
First he said his credit card is black, slide it infinitely.
Then he said, this song is like crack, repeat it infinitely.
(The show, Infinite Challenge, in hangul is 무한도전. When G-Dragon was on the show solo, he had an interview with 무한상사 (Infinite Company) and was selected to join them.)

감: can mean persimmon or sense (homonyms)
감나무: persimmon tree
More about the history of this persimmon lyrics here. Could it be that TOP gave him the idea? 02:02 in the video linked in ":)".
Also, in G-Dragon's solo Sketchbook appearance, he said he noticed he and the MC had a similar sensibility. I think he used the word 감수성 for sensibility. 6:30 onwards. Video linked in the previous post.

하나 둘 three four: one two three four (native korean used, for counting)
For example, when a photographer is readying his subjects for a photo, he'll count out loud, 하나 둘 셋.

심심: bored
Daesung says it too, in beginning of the G-Market CF I posted recently. One of a Kind lyrics has this phrase too, and also quite many other songs.

Terms of Endearment

I got curious about terms of endearment in Korean suddenly, because a fellow G-Dragon fan has been calling G-Dragon 남편 and 자기. I went to read up about these words in a blog, and you should too. Really in-depth explanation as well as how people called their husband and wife  in the olden days. 남편 means husband, while 자기 literally means oneself. 야 is usually appended to the end of 자기. Wife's either 아내 or literally, 와이프. 여보 is used by those who have married for a long time. 당신 is the polite way for saying "you", but I guess they use it to call their dearest one too.

Those are for married couples. For unmarried couples, you would use the following (which probably would sound very familiar to a kpop/kdrama fan. 오빠 is what girls called their boyfriends or older brothers. I like Dramabean's very in-depth explanation of that term. 남자친구 (shortened: 남친) for boyfriend or 여자친구 (shortened: 여친) for girlfriend. Adding 아/야 sound to the end of their names also makes it closer. You can also add 내 in front of their names to signify that they're yours.

In Daesung's Look at Me, Gwisoon! (날 봐, 귀순!) song, which was written by G-Dragon, there are loads of terms of endearment :D And I really appreciate G-Dragon and Daesung for introducing me to trot music ^^

여보 당신 애기 뭐라 불러드릴까
Wife, Dear, Baby, what should I call you?

자기야 날봐 어딜봐 날봐
Honey, look at me; where are you looking? Look at me!

애기 literally means baby.

Here's a video of Big Bang singing trot (G-Dragon's one precious line of deep voiced trot singing T^T) and Daesung's Nalbwa Gwisoon <3

G-Dragon meant to say oneself on Sketchbook, but the audience and MC both jokingly took it as "dear".

Check it out at 5:21 onwards,

[SHOW] 121020 G-Dragon on Yoo Hee Yool's... by bbvipchannel

I've come across another vocab, 오랜만에, these days. It means (first time) in a while, it has been a long time. The MC said that at 04:22 and 11:14 about G-Dragon's appearance on Sketchbook. And also, at 19:20 by G-Dragon to say it's been a while since he performed Heartbreaker. (It was a surprise performance, for him. Cos they didn't allow him to use his censored That XX song even.) It's used pretty often in tweets and line, and everyday life, I guess. Good to know. And it sounds nice too :)

edit: just encountered 오랫만에 in GD's tweet.
굿모닝 오랫만에 일찍일오났네? 오늘도모두행쇼!: Good morning I woke up early for the first time in a while? Everyone be happy today! (Trans credit)
the difference in spelling might be because 오랫만에 is read as 오랜만에?
